With reference to the DNVPS Circular released on 29 September 2009, please be reminded that on 1 January 2010, a 0.1% maximum fuel sulphur limit becomes mandatory for marine gas oils placed on the market in EU Member States' territory. From this date, a 0.1% sulphur limit also applies to all types of marine fuel used by ships at berth in EU ports as well as by inland waterway vessels.
